Hi my name is liv. I study Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia. I have been a part of Delta Fastpitch since I was 7 years old and now play softball at UBC. I have been coaching for quite a long time now, mainly softball but basketball as well. I love working to help kids improve their skills, become better players, and better people. I am very excited to work with 140 sports mainly because of their plan to focus on the mental health of youth. Please feel free to contact me if you are experiencing any issues with lack of confidence or self-worth issues in general.

I grew up playing multiple sports, focusing mainly on basketball. Although I had such passion for the game, I became one to feel weighed down by the pressures of perfectionism. I felt weighed down by the pressure to be the perfect player. This caused the enjoyment of the game to slowly disappear. After leaving almost every game disappointed, stressed, and ashamed of my performance, I realized the implications it had on my mentality. My mindset became harmful to my emotional and mental health. Please contact me if you are, or have, experienced this before. I would love the opportunity to support you through it!

During my youth I found many situations quite difficult as I was still in the closet and had no one to talk to about my sexuality. While still in the closet, being called derogatory slurs on the field made me hide myself in shame. Please feel free to contact me if you are, or have, experienced anything that causes you to feel insecure about your sexuality or self-worth in general.

Growing up things were not always easy and like most kids I had my ups and downs. I struggled with anxiety as well as mental toughness and performance anxiety in sports. Now as I have grown up, I have learnt some tools and skills to deal with it. I am very open about it and enjoy helping others who may have similar struggles.
